TAVOLO CONSOLLE / Materials of Extension Table
Particle Board: Most used in system furniture. As the standard CNS 2215 in Taiwan call it Pallet Plate, Chipboard in Europe, and Particle board in American.
Boards are use environmental friendly wood from Europe.
Quality guaranteed, not use imported wood and boards from East Asia.
Particle board is made from wood chips, using insect repellent, waterproofing agent, and glue, with high pressure and high temperature to become a high supporting structure board. The binding density is about 0.69g/cm3 (comparing with lumber core plywood is about 0.35g/cm3 .) , so the loading capacity is twice than the lumber core plywood.

With the increasing of human, our desire to the resources increased as well. The region of the forest decreased rapidly, and have big impact on our environment. In Europe, as the awareness of environment increased, wood furniture is rare now. The material of particle boards are come from wood fragments. These wood fragments are not only come from the forest, but also can obtain from second sources.
Emission of Formaldehyde, what is level E1 ?
Formaldehyde is one of the materials of Synthetic resin, colorless and irritant gas. Mentioned before, partical board is made from wood chips and using insect repellent, waterproofing agent, and glue, with high pressure and high temperature to become a high supporting structure board. For all the processed boards, including lumber core board, MDF, and fiber board all have the same problem, that is the emission of Formaldehyde.

Standard of EU EN717-1, standard only to Level E1, now only Japan and Holland have standard E0.

From 2008, in Taiwan, the material that isn’t meet Lever F3, can’t sell or use in the market.
CNS 2215 Level F3 = EN717-1 Lever E1
TAVOLO Series use material E1(F3).
Boards of TAVOLO Series are made from E1 partical board from Europe. Having SGS TEST of Emission of Formaldehyde, TAVOLO series is superior than level F3.Series TAVOLO covered its edge by semi-automatically, increasing the water proofing of the boards to meet V313 standard.
